Mission Mongolia team continue preparation for 2017 charity rally

24 April 2017

With the countdown timer falling below 100 days until the Avtrade sponsored team of bold adventurers set off from Avtrade Headquarters in Sayers Common for Mongolia as a part of the Go Help 2017 Mongolia Charity Rally, the team have been busily preparing themselves. The crew of four Avtrade staff will be driving to Ulaanbaatar; over 10000 miles across 2 continents, via Avtrade’s recently opened Guangzhou office in China.

Preparations for the trip have been wide-ranging, including a weekend training trip driving 2500 through Europe, extensive modifications being made to the Ford Transit which will transport the crew and Hostile Environment Awareness Training.

With sponsors including; Avtrade, MidAmerican Aerospace, A.I.R.S, Aerozone and Safe Fuel the wider aviation community have rallied around the team showing their support for a fantastic project which is in support of some brilliant charities.

To date the Mission Mongolia project has raised over £6000 for its three supported charities; Go Help who aim to provide access to education and healthcare throughout Central Asia, West Sussex based children’s hospice Chestnut Tree House and British mental health charity Mind. The projects fundraising campaign continues right up to the set off date in July, promising a great deal more money will be raised for charity.

The Mission Mongolia project welcomes any and all donations through our dedicated Just Giving account.
